Came for earlier dinner, quickly got seated, slow to get our noodles. Would've liked if could choose the hardness of noodle, or be asked for preference. Nice ambience and servers that were welcoming.
Food quality is good, attitude of waitress is nice and polite. Limited choice of food. Not much meter parking outside the shop, mostly fully parked.
One of the best ramen places in van.
I love their food and atmosphere, but wish there is no msg ramen choice. It would be great.
Can be pretty inconsistent with their quality control. Went one time where their pork chasu was disappointingly dry and chewy, and another time when the broth had so much MSG it started burning my throat.
This was the best ramen Ive ever had. When I come back to Van I won't be skipping ramen butcher. Huge portions and full of flavour. The egg is especially tasty.Try their coffee jelly for dessert ☕
Tsukemen is everything here. Great craft beer pairings. Special menu items changes all the time so great variety.
Best Ramen restaurant in Vancouver by far.The broth in this restaurant taste like heaven. The best options to me are the green basil Ramen, or the orange one. If you like spicy I would recommend the coconut ramen. You can also bundle it up with a karaage portion or mini spicy Teri Don.You won't regret about this.
First, the servers were attentive, polite, and quick. Next, I had the black garlic ramen with the fatty pork and it was wicked good. The broth is super tasty with a nice amount of fatty content. It feels slightly heavy with a warm finish. Not salty at all. The noodles were fresh and were cooked perfect--no gluey finish. The eggs was perfectly cooked with a subtle umami flavor infused into it. My only critical observation with the ramen was that the fatty pork wasn't fatty enough for me. The presentation of the dish was artfully done with the colours of the vegetables contrasting nicely with the meat and noodles. Well done!
Evertime I come here, I get the tsukemen. I will never pass on the opportunity to get their tsukemen here.
I never say this, but wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. Intended on going somewhere across the street, but saw the charming logo and decided I was in the mood for ramen instead. It ended up being the best ramen I’ve ever had, and unlike any I’ve had before. Creamy, explosive flavors that I can’t really compare to anything else. Very unique stuff. Reasonably priced and they give a free refill of noodles for your soup on request!! Add a warm and genuine salutations upon coming and leaving, and this place ranks as one of my VERY favorite restaurants in Vancouver. 💛 🧡💙💚🖤
Good Ramen! Love that black garlic ramen !
The black garlic ramen is absolutely god-tier. Wish we had something similiar back home.
So amazing! The coconut curry ramen was some of the best ramen I've ever had. They were also super nice and friendly to us.
I had the orange miso ramen, and was quite impressed with the broth. It's not as salty as some other ramen places, but still very tasty. The noodles are a bit different as well - it's white and thin. Good portion, and you can add a few more dollars for either a salad or mini curry rice or fried chicken. I would go again!
Best ramen ever.......♥
They butchered it! In the best way. The best ramen, delightful service. They slayed my expectations. 100% recommend.
Ordered take out during lockdown. Risky. $60 got me over cooked noodles, bland broth, little toppings, doughy karaage. Only go in person.
There's only one vegan option and it's not a very tasty or healthy option with super limited vegetables available (only onions and corn). They don't even have vegan hot sauce!Vegans and vegetarians should skip this place.
Clean and good environment.Good food always makes you happy. Must try Ramen restaurant.Staff was nice too.
Authentic. Delicious. You can get a free refill for your noodles, but not enough pork. The ratio between the starch and meat is just way off. I was gonna give 3 stars, but the soup is really good.
The Ramen Butcher was great. They have a wide variety of Ramen and an equally amazing selection of sides. The one doin side is that like many ramen places the seating can be limited so it's not the best for large groups.
Nice ramen here! They even had a kids menu which my 8 year old enjoyed. (I had a taste and it was good -- far better quality than fast-food grub. I really like that the also give you an extra serving of noodles to go with whatever left over soup you have. Nice touch. For our our visit, with my two young kids, we were first seated at a high table, but when a regular table became available, they offered to move us as it would be easier for our little guys. Really appreciated the thoughtfulness and friendly service.
Modern place in Chinatown, a lot of dishes to choose and the ramen is exquisite, I am jealous of the very good Asian food you can get in YVR.I try red spicy ramen, cocunut curry and orange misu ramen, my favorite definitely was the red spicy, I tried level 2 next time I will get level 3 is not really spicy.Highly recommend this place.Service is friendly and efficient.
Great restaurant , I recommend it ;)
Friendly staff and good service.
Delicious ramen, since a friend brought me here I keep coming to enjoy the amazing food
A delicious lunch. The food was a perfect temperature for the cold day. I had the original ramen with a creamy broth and fatty meat. Lots of flavor! I especially appreciate the little bit of pickled vegetables. It added a depth to the ramen. The noodles were nicely cooked and had a well rounded flavour. They also had a kids menu that looked really good. My child polished it off!
Great ramen with great prices. Added extra noodles. Well worth it here!
Amazing ramen one of my fav spots
This place kills me everytime. I stop eating not when I'm full, but when I start to hate myself :s
First became introduced to tsukemen while visiting Japan, had been disappointed to not find it available anywhere in Calgary but now that I've recently moved to Vancouver I've been pleased to see that it appears to be available at a number of restaurants here. Ramen Butcher's tsukemen has a ton of flavour, noodles tasted great though they were extremely sticky which made getting them free from the bowl was a bit of an awkward endeavour. Can't really compare it to other local options yet but I was definately satisfied.
The happy hour ramen is very good deal. Chose the spicy ramen, my favorite.
We ordered tonkotsu and tonkotsu black ramen on our first visit here, and all I can say that it was AMAZINGLY PERFECT.I had a tonkotsu/classic. The flavour was perfect. I can taste the pork bone broth BUT not too much of it that it tastes overwhelming but at the same time not underwhelming. The broth wasn’t too thick like some tonkotsu broths out there and not fatty. The amount of salt was perfect as well. Same as the ramen egg where the flavour reaches all the way to the yolk. The chashu wasn’t also too salty and perfectly complements the whole noodle bowl. Portions are perfect for the price as well and we would leave full and satisfied. For a more garlicky flavour version of this, go for the Tonkotsu Black!!All around the perfect ramen noodle soup! Service was great as well I think her name was Lorena who has served us every time were there lol. She’s awesome too that made our whole experience in this restaurant great!!!
Always very deilicous. Can never go wrong at Ramen But her. Love the Chicken Karrage!
I tried this place already with my friend and I am hooked since then. I love the fantastic atmosphere and tasty food and beverages. 5 stars.
Amazing ramen. Fast and good service. Sometimes there's a waiting list...
Well priced and portioned with quick service. I had the black garlic ramen which was lovely and rich, definitely a winter warmer. The c
I liked this place. As a ramen lover, I can say it was not the best ramen I had in Vancouver, but the quality was good. The staff were so friendly.
Best ramen in the city. The shoyu Ramen is amazing. Just get it.
Really enjoyed eating ramen here. The service was very fast and the staff is very kind. I like how they serve different types of broths for your liking and dietary restrictions; vegetarian, chicken and pork broth. There were also many add ons that you could include into your own ramen dish. the items on the menu were very affordable and that just allows you to try more things which is great! Will be coming back if I’m ever around the area
Best ramen in the city. Authentic Japanese ramen from chefs trained in Japan. I believe everything is handmade as well. Friendly service and excellent ramen.
Amazing tsukemen always! Definitely one of the best ramen places in the city, which will leave you satisfied. Noodles are silky smooth.
Awesome ramen and all the other appetizers are on point. Music is also “on fleek”? Is that what the cool kids say?
The food is consistently well prepared and delicious, employees hands over good customer service. I loved how clean it is and ambience. Will visit here again.
Very good ramen, one of my go-to places in this area.
Very oily soup base made me nauseous.
This place is great! They have awesome ramen, and free refills of noodles. I recommend the classic ramen.
Everything was perfect and delicious, it was in my list of ramen restaurants to go in Vancouver and I am so glad it lived up to expectations.
Off the beaten path in china town... an original take on ramen. Lots of options and the traditional what you’d except. open airy space with clean washrooms, staff very friendly:) I’m coming back for sure !
